about the headspace

space. . .
. . . and time

our headspace is made up of multiple, oftentimes overlapping dimensions, with little pocket dimensions and wormholes scattered all around it. it's quite expansive, and it can be tricky to travel to many parts of it for many alters.

the time within is also very different from time on the outside- sometimes faster, sometimes slower, it's quite strange and difficult to put into comphrehensible words. although, we don't have the best grip on time outside of headspace either haha ^^".
the dimensions and locations within

deeper . . .
. . . and deeper within

while there are many small pockets, there are four main dimensions known of as of now- " the concorde ", " the in-between ", " the fifth dimension ", and " topsy turvy ".

the concorde, or "the normal plane", is the least detached from how the outer world functions on a whole. in the north, the subsystems and locations are reminiscent of reality in the current day/era. however, in the south, things are a lot more like eras past, such as the renaissance or ancient egypt etc. there is also an ocean in-between the two hemispheres that can be crossed either by boat, ferry, individual's teleportation access, or other unspecified means.

the in-between, or "the blurred place", is highly liminal in nature. it isn't quite a daydream, but not quite right either... an odd and often disconcerting middleground. there are many, many layers to the subsystems within, making a rabbit trail into confusion more than anything, really.

the fifth dimension, or "the spiritual realm", is very centered around xian concepts such as heaven and hell, angels and demons, etc. it is its own sort of "reality", something inaccessible by "mortals" (humans) unless granted explicit permissions or one were to fall into it through a wormhole. parts of other dimensions flicker into and out of the fifth, but never quite stay enough to be fully considered a part of it.

topsy turvy, or "dreamland", is the most disconnected from the outer reality. it's very dreamlike in nature, nothing has to make complete sense, and things are both fanciful yet quintessentially off. like the concorde, it too has northern and southern hemispheres, as well as some areas that are fuzzier in terms of where they are exactly- if they even truly have one location they're tied to completely.
non-area based

travel between . . .
. . . far and wide

on top of these, there are also some groups and subsystems that are not tied to location. some travel, some are friend groups, some feel comradre due to source similarities. whatever the case, the difference between a group and a non-area based subsystem is... essentially just how tight those bonds are, really. groups are different in that they are more for the sake of organization, or are for the purposes of overseeing particular aspects of the system and our goings-on.
